Most people who need to record something already work in an office building. The studio they need is usually across town, booked weeks out, and priced for a record label. PitcHouse closes that gap. We build and run professional podcast, audio and video studios inside office and mixed-use buildings, so the people who work there can record where they work, and the building earns from space it was not using.
Our first six studios are planned for Dallas, our headquarters and flagship, and for Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Houston, Salt Lake City and San Francisco. Studios open city by city, starting with Dallas, and booking requests are open now.
Six rooms, one standard
Every PitcHouse location is built from the same set of rooms, sized to the building it sits in: podcast suites for two to six voices, video stages with lighting grids and live switching, edit and post rooms, creator co-working, a corporate media room for the companies upstairs, and a small live room for tapings and showcases. The equipment standard is the same in every city, so a show recorded in Atlanta sounds like one recorded in Dallas.
A producer will sit at the desk. You will be able to book a room by the hour, the day or the month, add an engineer or a full crew, finish in the post rooms and publish to every major platform. Or take your files and go.
Two lines of business
PitcHouse Studios is the network of embedded studios. PitcHouse Media is built to acquire and run media companies and to license and distribute a growing content library. The studios come first. The media business grows from the audiences and rights that the studios help create.
“Buildings have floors they are not using. Creators have shows they need to make. A studio belongs between the two.”
Who it is for
Independent creators who want a professional room without a captive contract. Tenants of the building who record town halls, training and their own shows, and who book first. Media and creative firms that need equipped rooms in six cities. Brands and sponsors running campaigns across shows. And the owners, developers and flexible workspace operators who have a floor to spare and tenants to keep.
How we are built
Alexandra Pohl is Chief Executive Officer and William Pohl III is Chief Operating Officer. Each studio will be run by a Studio Director and a team of twelve: producers, engineers, editors, sales and the people who keep the desk running.
If you have something to record, tell us what and where. If you own a building with a floor to spare, tell us about it. A person reads every note.
